Who is eligible?

The Library is open to the Judiciary Staff and all members of the Bar Council, the Law Society and the Chamber of Notaries. Pupils are allowed to use the library but shall not be allowed to borrow materials 

Any other person doing research may apply for permission to use the library from the Master and Registrar


Library Card Application

Members of the Bar Council, the Law Society and the Chamber of Notaries can register for a Library Card to access our services and collections and to borrow books. Click here for the Library Card Application Form.

Your library card gives you access to:

  • Use the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) to see what items we have in our collection.

  • view and download digital collection of old laws of Mauritius

  • view your library transaction, reserve and renew books

Library Rules and Regulations

The rules and regulations in the Library are meant to promote the judicious and fair use of the collection and services for the benefit of all its members. Library users are required to comply with all policies and rules set forth in these Regulations.
